Robert Mapplethorpe, when confined at home with AIDS, also made some wonderful photographers of flowers. How did you assure the proper plane of focus, and exposure in those contrastu scenes, with your Leica M11, if you used it?
You may be right that when freedom is restricted, for whatever reason, a person turns to flowers. For these I was using Fujifilm, not the Leica. I shot them with a macro lens.
