Visual Notes 003
Borrowed light.
There are moments when something catches the light.
The side of a building, a bench, a vending machine, a road sign. Walking or standing still, I find myself drawn to that kind of light. Sometimes it appears in a street scene. Sometimes in a corner of a room.
Whatever catches the light looks as if it is generating it.
It lasts a few minutes or a few seconds. Then it is gone.
After the light disappears, everything settles into stillness, as if a small story has just ended.
Visual Notes is a series that will run alongside my regular posts—more photographs, fewer words.

I love the way you capture light. I started learning photography near a year ago now, but I have never been able to capture natural light well, like you do. My favorite photos that I've taken have been at night, with artificial light from a street lamp or local shop, and at some point, when I have time, I'd like to practice capturing light like you do.
I'm realizing the allure of your work and your writing is that it perfectly speaks to the magic and essence of photography. It's hard to imagine seeing the world any other way 💗
